We are looking for a hard-working Substation Helper to join the Xcel Energy team in Matheson, Colorado! In this position, you will be required to complete a structured training program, and perform all aspects of Substation construction, operation and maintenance. The applicant must be committed to working safely, be self-motivated, work well with others and respond to after-hour callouts and weekend callout. Overnight travel will also be part of the assignment. Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Have the ability to be respirator qualified and pass confined space training. Be physically capable of performing the requirements of the classification. (Working at height, working in confined spaces, lifting, digging etc.) Possess good mathematic, verbal, mechanical and written skills. Must be able to lift 80 Pounds and work in all weather conditions Must have passed or successfully pass the EEI Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) selection test. Selection criteria may include testing and/or assessment. Requirements
