Substation Field Engineer
About The Position
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and event investigations Provide Project Engineering for emergent projects such as replacement of equipment Liaise with Engineering, Design, Construction, and Maintenance teams to ensure timely communication and appropriate prioritization Be a champion of Safety and regulatory compliance Preferred Qualifications: Experience and expertise with substation equipment such as power transformers, circuit breakers, instrument transformers, protective relays, and SCADA RTUs preferred Experience and expertise with substation equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement preferred Up to 20% travel to substations may be required BS in Electrical, Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or other relevant Engineering discipline required. Requirements
- BS in Electrical, Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or other relevant Engineering discipline required.
- Engineering Technology degree with relevant experience may be considered
Nice To Haves
- Experience and expertise with substation equipment such as power transformers, circuit breakers, instrument transformers, protective relays, and SCADA RTUs preferred
- Experience and expertise with substation equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement preferred
