Substation Engineering is an integral part of the Substation Engineering Services Department at Pacific Gas & Electric Company, supporting the company's $1 billion capital investment in substation and transmission line projects. The department is responsible for preparing detailed construction drawings for substations and provides engineering expertise to upgrade, expand, and replace infrastructure, including distribution and transmission substations, technical assistance on feasibility studies, construction support, and input in project evaluation and cross-checking. As a summer intern, you will serve as a vital link between the company and the widespread interconnection of generation, increased capacity demand (residential, commercial, and industrial), and system reliability improvements in California. Your role will involve working alongside experienced engineers to ensure excellent service for these projects.
