About The Position

Under direct supervision, performs apprentice level substation electrical work associated with the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of high and low voltage electrical systems found in substations, control buildings and underground facilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

• High school equivalency with supplemental college or training courses in electricity and mathematics and one year of substation electrical construction and maintenance experience is preferred.
• A valid class "A" driver's license issued by the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles, may be required to obtain as determined by supervision.
• Veteran's Preference (External Applicants Only): Submit DD form 214 or other evidence of veterans' status by the job posting deadline.
• A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment.
• Employees must notify supervision when applying for a position.
