Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2+ years of directly applicable experience in the utility industry.
• PE License (preferred or near completion).
• Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & Mathcad software.
• Experience with STAAD.Pro, FAD, SAFE, SAG10, and LPILE software.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
• Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform design of civil/structural components in support of the development of bid/construction packages for substation projects.
• Contribute directly to projects, performing design calculations and providing detail markups.
• Conduct site-visits to client substation facilities.
• Occasionally travel for client meetings and industry-related events.
• Comply with quality control and safe work practices.
• Maintain compliance with project scope, schedule, and budget expectations.
• Collaborate as a contributing member of a design team comprised of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians.
