About The Position

We are hiring for a Substance Use Therapist at RHA Health Services in Marion, NC. This position is for a Credentialed Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist who is skilled in treating a range of substance use disorders. The role requires an individual who can assess and treat co-occurring disorders, including mental illness and personality disorders, with minimal supervision. The therapist will provide quality services and must hold a license issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession. The position offers a salary range of $57,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on licensure and experience, with a schedule that includes on-site evening group sessions and negotiable virtual options after training.

Requirements

  • Valid licensure to provide mental/behavioral healthcare in the state of North Carolina.
  • Licenses include CCS or LCAS, or CADC in North Carolina.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Completion of pre-employment screening including criminal background check, name checks in registries, drug testing, and education verification.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating intensive adult substance use groups and conducting individual sessions for group members.
  • On-call duties rotated with other group facilitators.
  • Coordinating closely with the interdisciplinary team to best help service users, including behavioral health specialists, registered nurses, quality assurance specialists, paraprofessionals, and the Clinical Director.
  • Running individual, family, and group outpatient therapy sessions.
  • Orienting new service users to RHA.
  • Developing person-centered plans with individuals.
  • Overseeing the discharge planning process.
  • Facilitating relationships between RHA, individuals, families/legal guardians, and various social service community resources.
