About The Position

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency operating throughout Arizona, providing residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services. CBI assists individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. As a non-profit, CBI is a leading provider of substance use and behavioral health programs, including prevention, education, and treatment utilizing cutting-edge, nationally recognized, evidence-based models. The Substance Use/Mental Health Specialist is responsible for delivering clinical therapeutic services to patients assigned to the CBI Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (F/ACT) team. This role involves assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients and their families within the F/ACT team, adhering to policies, processes, and governing rules set by the Department of Behavioral Health Services (DBHS), Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), Bureau of Medical facilities Licensing (BMFL), and the Code of Federal Regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field related Behavioral Health or 1 year of clinical experience in substance abuse treatment

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree is preferred but not required
  • Master’s Degree in field related to behavioral health and/or has been licensed at the associate level with The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as Psychologist, Social worker, Counselor, Marriage and family therapist or Substance Abuse Counselor
  • 1-3 years of full-time Health Care related work experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provision of clinical therapeutic services to patients assigned to the CBI Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (F/ACT) team
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment to patients (and their families) whom are assigned to the F/ACT team
