About The Position
Are you passionate about inspiring people to be the best they can be? Then join us! We are searching for a full time: Substance Use Counselor . Our programs provide outpatient substance use counseling services to adults with substance use issues. Hours 7:00am to 4:00 M-F. Please note this position is grant funded and ongoing employment is dependnet upon future funding. This position may end 09/26. AAMA has proudly been empowering learners and inspiring leaders for over 53 years in the areas of education, prevention and counseling and workforce readiness.
Requirements
- LCDC/LCDC Intern in Texas
- Valid Texas Driver License and clear driving record.
- Drug screen and background check required.
- Ability to professionally communicate
- Maintain calm in tense situations
- Organize
- Write well for client documentation
- Ability to build rapport with our clients and inspire them to build confidence and leadership skills by demonstrating it yourself.
- Ability to respond appropriately in an emergency or crisis.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience counseling in the substance use field preferred.
