About The Position

We are seeking compassionate, non-judgmental, and highly empathic individuals to join our specialized team of clinicians as a Counselor at Operation PAR's Medication Assisted Patient Services (MAPS) program in Inverness, 34452. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field.
  • Registered marriage and family therapy, clinical social work, and mental health counseling intern.
  • Master's degree level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) certified by the Florida Certification Board.
  • Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) certified by the Florida Certification Board.
  • Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) certified by the Florida Certification Board.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must pass level II background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Performs substance use disorder and mental health counseling work on an individual patient basis and in a group setting.
  • Provides evaluation, screening, and assessment services.
  • Responsible for servicing primary caseload along with other patients as assigned.
  • Documents in accordance with company standards.
  • Conducts counseling sessions in a private office.
