About The Position

Provides patient care services primarily to clients in the outpatient component (IOP, PHP and Community Housing) of the Substance Abuse Treatment Program, within an interdisciplinary team model. Promotes compliance with treatment plans and contracts. Facilitates patient participation in therapy and support groups and completion of assignments in the 12-step model. Is available to clients to deal with situations that may require attention prior to next treatment day. Monitors sub-lease living quarters for compliance with program and apartment complex rules including monitoring of living conditions and maintenance of equipment and supplies in the apartments. Facilitates new patient transition, drug screens and chart maintenance. Provides administrative and financial support to the Operations Manager as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, or its equivalent required.
  • Previous but recent professional or volunteer experience in the substance abuse treatment field is preferred, including knowledge of treatment issues and relapse problems and a working knowledge of the 12 step model.
  • Must have the ability to provide support and to set appropriate limits.
  • The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing is required.
  • Computer experience including Microsoft Word and Excel and Organizational skills required.
  • If in recovery must have maintained 1 consecutive year of sobriety immediately prior to and concurrent with employment.

Nice To Haves

  • College preferred.
  • Financial counseling experience preferred.
  • Substance abuse certification preferred.
