About The Position

The Substance Abuse Social Worker will be responsible for providing outpatient counseling and making referrals to the MOUD clinic. The clinician will manage a patient load of 5 to 7 patients per day, which may fluctuate due to walk-in services provided by The Doorway. Familiarity with New Hampshire referral resources is essential, and the clinician will also provide consults for inpatient and emergency department cases at Cheshire Medical. The patient population primarily consists of adults, with some adolescents. This position requires on-site work only, as remote work is not an option.

Requirements

• LMSW (must be licensed in NH)
• AHA BLS certification
• Must have your own vehicle
• 3+ years of master's level mental health social worker experience
• Triage experience (phone and in person)
• Knowledge of Naloxone and MOUD

Responsibilities

• Make referrals to MOUD clinic
• Provide outpatient counseling
• Manage a patient load of 5 to 7 patients per day
• Become familiar with NH referral resources quickly
• Provide consults for inpatient and ED at Cheshire Medical
