Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of education/certification as a drug and alcohol counselor
• Two years of experience in a related field
• Valid California Driver's License and evidence of insurance coverage
• Current CPR and First Aid certificates
• Computer proficiency
• Professional appearance and pleasant mannerism
• Must pass criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Conduct assigned education sessions with specified curriculum
• Work collaboratively with treatment team
• Transport clients to appointments as requested
• Maintain all charting and other records as required by IVRS, County, State and local agencies
• Provide client supervision at all times
• Make medications available to clients and maintain medication logs and records
• Conduct urinalysis testing when necessary
• Attend all required agency staff and training meetings
• Ensure the highest level of service is provided to the people we serve
• Maintain client confidentiality in compliance with federal guidelines, including HIPAA regulations
• Adhere to staff Codes of Ethics and Conduct
• Adhere to policies and procedures set forth for agency
• Adhere to all safety and housekeeping standards established by IVRS
