About The Position

The Sub-Servicing Oversight Team is responsible for managing the performance of approved Sub-Servicers. The Sub-Servicing Oversight Specialist will perform end-to-end surveillance on sub-servicing activities. This individual will perform exception reviews and testing related to sub-servicing, including but not limited to servicing advances, collections, loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, FEMA disaster, property preservation, and call center activity. They will monitor, oversee, and drive solutions to mitigate losses. They will provide Quality Assurance results monthly to the sub-servicers and the subservicing oversight teams to ensure quality assurance, performance, and accountability. This team member will play a key role in ensuring that sub-servicers are servicing Lakeview’s portfolio appropriately. This is a hybrid position, reporting to one of our office locations three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday). Office locations for this position are in Coral Gables, FL, or Horsham, PA. We offer a competitive salary range of $66,000 to $74,000, an annual bonus, 401(k) company match, and comprehensive medical benefits starting on day one. Compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other job-related factors.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Mortgage Servicing experience, including asset management, vendor management, process improvement, loss mitigation, and default processes.
  • Experience in and understanding of agency guidelines as they pertain to: Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Property Preservation, REO and Claims, Transfer Management, Loan Boarding, and Advance Reconciliation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Power BI, and Word
  • High school diploma/GED required; College degree preferred (experience can take the place of a college degree)

Nice To Haves

  • Black Knight/LoanSphere/LPS Desktop experience a plus (i.e., MSP/WebDirect, Servicing Director, etc.)
  • SQL (Structured Query Language) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day surveillance of sub-servicing activities, including but not limited to servicing advances, collections, loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, FEMA disaster, property preservation, and call center activity.
  • Review outstanding expenses on loans for potential recovery or clearance.
  • Responsible for day-to-day surveillance, which consists of reviewing loan-level exceptions to ensure sub-servicers are servicing loans appropriately and holding sub-servicers accountable for anything outside of our performance standards.
  • In the event the sub-servicer does not resolve the exception, the Sub Servicing Oversight Specialist will escalate the exception to Leadership at the sub-servicer and work with them directly to ensure the exception is resolved.
  • Autonomously reviews performance metrics and Lakeview’s management priorities to identify areas of focus for reviews and surveillance, and provides recommendations to management on solutions.
  • Gathers and submits exception review findings to Lakeview’s management team, the sub-servicers, and the servicing relationship team.
  • Identify and record escalation items and potential loss items, and advise management on next steps or solutions to the issues found.
  • Facilitate or provide subject matter expertise and address issues in loan-level reviews with Sub-Servicers pertaining to servicing advances, collections, loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, FEMA disaster, property preservation, and call center activity.
  • Responsible for monitoring FHLMC, FNMA, GNMA (FHA, VA, USDA) reports and scorecards to identify areas of concern and perform reviews of exceptions captured in the reports and/or scorecards.
