About The Position

What is Global Credit Finance Global Credit Finance is the Bank’s lending division. The team oversees a portfolio of 10 different products with over $104B of notional commitments. Its 150+ member team operates in the US, EMEA and APAC with offices in Boston, Irvine, London, Munich, Gdansk, Luxembourg, and Bangalore. Global Credit Finance’s mission is twofold: to attract and retain clients of State Street through the use of the firm’s balance sheet; and to add income and diversification to the company’s portfolio of on and off-balance sheet investments. Our products include Private Markets – Subscription Finance, Private Credit, Real Money Funds-Liquidity and Leverage, CLOs, Municipal Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Leveraged Loans, Corporates, and Stable Value Wrap. What you will be responsible for As an intern, you will: Assist Account Officers in due diligence process and underwriting of subscription credit facilities For accounts where assisting the Account Officer: exercise appropriate diligence in credit underwriting process, with ability to independently analyze financial statements and other information pertinent to the borrower; Assist Account Officer in the presentation and defense of credit recommendations clearly and concisely; Assist in maintenance of up-to-date approvals, credit and legal files; Respond to requests for information from Enterprise Risk Management, internal audit and bank examiners; maintain high responsiveness and service quality across internal constituencies; Work with Loan Operations and customers as appropriate to facilitate operational aspects of credit relationship; Demonstrate the ability to identify, prioritize and escalate critical issues to senior management. Work closely with loan officers to continue to develop industry knowledge as well as underwriting and portfolio management skills, understanding of policies and procedures for credit and portfolio administration, and management of the legal documentation process. Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in credit markets, commercial loan structuring, risk assessment, and legal documentation.
