About The Position

This position offers an optional hybrid work schedule, with three days working in the office and two days working remotely. We are seeking a strong negotiator to join our team as a Subrogation Professional. This career opportunity is perfect for you if you take pride in providing exceptional service to internal and external customers and clearly articulating yourself via phone and email. As a Subrogation Professional, you will review information on reported claims and determine if third parties have a legal liability for damages to Great West or our insureds due to an incident. Important aspects of the job include daily communications with all parties involved on the status of open files, making legal arguments regarding liability and damages, and negotiating settlements. We are looking for self-starters who take control of their destiny by achieving goals and seeking development opportunities. You want the satisfaction of winning, but not at the detriment of conducting business with the highest ethics.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred; a paralegal degree or J.D. would also be considered
  • Work experience in the legal field, law enforcement, collections, workers compensation claims, or any other insurance experience
  • Strong negotiation, critical thinking, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
