Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Submarine Sonar Systems Integration Engineer. As a System Integrator, you will be responsible for integrating and testing complex systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications, performance standards, and needs of the sailor. In addition, you will be part of the Testing/Certification environment ensuring that the developed products meet the requirements and intended use on-board the submarine. This role may require dockside support for installing new capabilities as well as some at sea testing support. Come and experience your future working with a large team on the Acoustic Rapid Cots Insertion (ARCI) program responsible for integrating and certifying next generation systems using the experience gained while in the Navy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a Submarine Sonar Technician (STS) on SSNs or SSGNs
  • Experience as Operator/Maintainer for TI-16+ systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of real-world operations and requirements during at-sea tactical scenarios
  • Experience as a Qualified Sonar Supervisor
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of Active and Passive Sonar operations and performance characteristics
  • Demonstrated ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and install a SSN/SSGN Sonar suite
  • Experience working and interacting with various levels of leadership and customers both internal and external with the ability for appropriate professional discretion
  • Must be willing to travel to customer site up to 10%

  • Microsoft Office experience, focusing on Power Point experience, (to include slide development)
  • Proficiency in Linux, network switches, and hardware components
  • Atlassian Tool Suite experience
  • Stood Sonar Supervisor on a deployment
  • Other ASW community experience
  • Responsive training background

Responsibilities

  • Integrate hardware and software components into a fully functional system
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures to verify system performance and functionality
  • Conduct testing in a controlled environment, including laboratory and field testing
  • Identify and document defects or anomalies encountered during testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects
  • Analyze test data to verify system performance and functionality
  • Generate reports and presentations to summarize test results and recommendations
  • Travel to customer site may be required up to 10%
