As the Project Manager on the Team Submarine contract part of the dynamic In-Service team in Washington, D.C., you will provide programmatic support to one of our NAVSEA customers and be expected to bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors. You will have influence every day in managing and supporting a critical need to maintain our submarine force operational and at-sea. Serco supports the US Navy as a subcontractor for their Team Submarine contract in the maintenance, sustainment, and disposal of in-service submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force. In this role, you will: Be the primary customer contact for all activities, meeting with and updating the customer on project status. Lead program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Provide acquisition management planning and execution support. Be the single point of contact on all contract management support related issues, including required reports and presentations responsible for quality control and timeliness. Provide financial and management support to assist in budget development for the contract. Deliver the technical performance within cost and schedule parameter through completion of the contract. Manage the technical and administrative staff and provide ongoing direction in the performance of the assigned program. Develop and monitor program plan including time and cost estimates, ensuring delivery of project outputs on schedule and within funding. Lead technical discussions for project reviews, including preparing and delivering formal briefings. Participate in company Business Development efforts. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship
  • A Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field
  • An Associates Degree and 2 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field or A High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field.
  • 5 years of experience (Experience with exposure in the areas of engineering/science management, operations research analysis, financial/cost analysis, as well as an expert level knowledge and experience with Navy acquisition and submarine programs highly preferred)
  • Knowledge and experience with Navy acquisition and submarine programs.
  • Experience leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer.
  • The ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
  • A current or active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Knowledge of program management, to include the acquisition process, the budgeting process and Navy program execution.
  • Active-duty experience in the Submarine Service.
  • Recent experience in Team Submarine.
