This position supports the In-Service Attack Submarines Program Office (PMS 392) which is part of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Program Executive Office Submarines (PEO SSN), and Team Submarine (TSUB) providing engineering, logistics, and project management support to SSN 688I, 21 and 774 Class Submarines.

  • Provide Engineering and Technical support coordinating all matters relating to preparation, review and approval of Ship Certification correspondence for Fast Cruise and Sea Trials, Follow-On certifications and URO certifications.
  • Coordinates routing and processing of all ship certification documents for concurrence and approval signatures.
  • Prepare coordinated reports, presentations and briefings in support of program actions.
  • Analyzes requirements to develop program reporting including specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and evaluation methodology.
  • Supports studies, surveys, reviews, and/or research projects to evaluate program accomplishments, effectiveness, and/or compliance with meeting specific goals, objectives, rules, and regulations.
  • Develop evaluation plans, metrics, procedures, and methodology as a result of studies performed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or related work experience is required.
  • Operational submarine experience and Maintenance Shipyard experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Submarine systems and related support equipment.
  • Knowledge of documentation used to operate and maintain submarine systems.
