About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Submarine Electronic Warfare Engineering Technician to join our Honolulu, HI team. Essential Responsibilities include providing support to engineering and design staff in a variety of engineering tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction and operation of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications. The technician will install, monitor, and service SWFTS Tech-Insertion & APB cycle of AN/BLQ-10 ESM systems at various Naval locations, assist with test and evaluation, checkout, certification tasks, and perform validations/ verifications of various electronic systems. Additional responsibilities include reviewing change proposals for equipment impacts, assisting in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions, developing technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, trouble-shooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements. The technician will also establish and maintain a filing system, databases, and logs as needed for tracking project status and inventory, and provide technical data and evaluation for components installation, equipment maintenance and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout and contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
  • Seven (7) years of practical experience and High School diploma/GED OR Five (5) years practical experience and an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science.
  • Formal electronics training from Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.
  • Practical experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or repair of C5I and/or NC3 systems/equipment.
  • Experience in the maintenance/repair and/or installation disciplines.
  • Experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.
  • Excellent communications and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge across multiple submarine platforms and SWFTS systems.
  • SSEP ESM Groom Team experience.

Responsibilities
