About The Position
At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. This position involves developing and implementing coatings that achieve challenging cosmetic and functional requirements in highly visible enclosure designs. You will work closely with Apple's Industrial Design and Product Design teams to create working specifications related to coating processes. Collaboration with premier equipment and process manufacturing partners is essential to create next-generation processes and test the limits of process capabilities. You will determine feasibility to achieve aggressive goals by evaluating manufacturing processes at early stages of product development. Additionally, you will plan and execute studies to confirm process capability to achieve technical goals for high volume programs and present analysis to key decision makers that will be used to make commercial and design commitments. This role also involves working directly with overseas manufacturers to implement solutions that meet high-volume commercial goals.
