About The Position

The Subject Matter Expert Level V position at GDIT involves developing requirements from a project's inception to its conclusion for a specific IT subject matter area, ranging from simple to complex systems. The role includes assisting project members with analysis, evaluation, and preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimizations, development, and maintenance efforts across various specialties such as information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, and risk management. The position requires a strong understanding of operational requirements and the ability to articulate ideas effectively to all levels of management.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of related experience.
  • Must have one of the following DoD approved certifications to meet the category/level IAT-2 (DD 8570) requirement: Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP, GCIH, or GCED.
  • High School/GED (+20) years of relevant experience; AD (+15) years; BA/BD (+10) years; Master's degree (+5) years; or PhD (+3) years of relevant experience.
  • US Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of CMI6 and enclave environments.
  • Experienced in Active Directory to include Active Roles Administration Service (ARS) and Group Policy Object (GPO).
  • Experienced in Azure file shares and Distributed File Systems (DFS).
  • Experience with CITRIC, VMWare Firewalls, and Exchange at the Tier 3 level.
  • Experience displaying skill areas including operating systems (Windows, UNIX, LINUX), Virtual Desktops (Citrix, VMWare), User Management and Permissions (Active Directory, Centrify).
  • Extensive knowledge of M365.
  • Knowledge of full lifecycle management techniques including testing, integration, change management, security, and authentication services.
  • Experience conducting configuration management on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive Project Management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the bridge between Mission end users of the systems to be delivered and those who are architecting, engineering, and/or developing the system.
  • Support the development, review, and analysis of Mission CONOPs, requirements, scenarios, and use cases that accurately reflect end users' needs.
  • Assist project members with analysis, evaluation, and preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimizations, development, and maintenance efforts.
  • Support information management transformation.
  • Maintain cognizance of all operational requirements, ensuring that the spirit of the requirements is preserved across programmatic and acquisition activities.
  • Articulate/white board ideas to all levels of management.
  • Provide lifecycle sustainment support.
