About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator/Purchaser to join our team of multi-skilled technicians in a manufacturing facility in Greenville, SC! Typical work schedule is 1st shift (7 am to 4 pm EST) M-F. Scheduled workdays and hours may vary based on critical business demand. This position will require some overtime, particularly during seasonal peaks in purchasing. The Subcontracts Administrator performs administrative functions associated with contracts coordination, administration, and invoice reconciliation. The Subcontracts Administrator/Purchasing is responsible for: Support new vendor setups, requests for proposals, and the administrative portion of contracts and service agreements. Coordinate and schedule the facilities soft services including janitorial, pest control, lawn care, floor cleaning, uniform and rug rentals, water delivery, plumbing services, elevator maintenance, industrial door repairs, etc. Monitor the completion of services to satisfaction of local customer. In addition, this position performs purchasing, receiving and inventory control tasks to support our Parts Crib team, which may include: Maintain files of requisitions, receiving reports and related inventory documents. · Maintains records of on-hand inventory, performs cycle counts, verifies physical inventory accuracy, and performs database updates. Ensures proper identification of received goods and their storage locations. Requires fluency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Microsoft Excel (including the ability to create charts and graphs, insert formulas, and leverage various lookups), as well as all software tools used in the procurement process. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills, particularly in written communication, as well as good organizational skills and sound judgement. Experience in one or more of the areas of purchasing, expediting and integrated supply is preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience or demonstrated equivalent with associates in subject matter area
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • This position may require a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • Note U.S. Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
  • Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
  • Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
  • Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
  • Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
  • Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
  • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate requests for contracted services with Procurement, the appropriate Supervisor, Lead and client.
  • Work with and oversee subcontractor activities
  • Support pricing, bids, and vendor sourcing functions.
  • Support the purchase order requisition process.
  • Manage all incoming invoices in the invoice system
  • Support/assist the development of team and vendor performance measurements and metrics.
  • Effectively utilize company cornerstone software applications related to procurement.
  • Perform some amount of start-up activity for new facility add-ons
  • Understand company policies and enforce safety regulations.
  • Actively participate in daily pre and post shift meetings with team.
  • Actively participate in monthly safety training meetings.
  • Identify and implement cost savings initiatives
  • Monthly KPI reports as directed by Site Manager
  • Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment, yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
