Central City Concern is an innovative nonprofit agency providing comprehensive services to single adults and families in the Portland metro area who are impacted by homelessness, poverty and addictions. Hooper Detox provides both 24/7 inpatient and outpatient withdrawal management and stabilization services for people seeking treatment for substance use disorders. Many of the staff at Hooper are in recovery themselves and have experienced the challenges that come with withdrawal and early stabilization. They serve as reminders that recovery is possible and often provide the first rays of hope for the long journey ahead. The Subacute Technician provides support for the Nursing staff in caring for and monitoring of patients during the subacute detoxification process. The Subacute Technician plays a vital role in fostering a calm, quiet, and well-structured environment where patients feel safe and supported. Using strong verbal and physical de-escalation skills, they help manage challenging situations with professionalism and care, ensuring the subacute setting remains stable, respectful, and focused on patient well-being. Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday 10:45pm-7:15am, Monday & Tuesday off Location: Hooper Detoxification and Stabilization Center, 1535 N. Williams Ave. Portland, OR 97227 Compensation: $23.85/hr. can increase based on experience
