About The Position

As an Operator at American Water, you will work in various Operator classifications on a temporary basis. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting regular Station Operators with their duties, particularly as directed by the Routine Maintenance Card program. You will perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, tightening, minor adjustments, lubrications, inspections, testing, making minor part replacements, and packing valves. Additionally, you will work as a Shop Mechanic Helper as needed.

Requirements

• Completion of training program.
• Ability to demonstrate operation of the station upon completion of training.

Responsibilities
