About The Position

American Water is seeking individuals to work temporarily in various Operator classifications. The role involves assisting regular Station Operators with their duties, particularly as directed by the Routine Maintenance Card program. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, painting, tightening, minor adjustments, lubrications, inspections, testing, making minor part replacements, and packing valves. Additionally, the position may involve working as a Shop Mechanic Helper.

Requirements

• Completion of training program.
• Ability to demonstrate operation of the station upon completion of training.
