Plumas Lake Elementary School District is Seeking Substitutes for the After-school Expanded Learning Opportunities Program. The objective and assignment involve assisting teaching and programming staff with interventions and expanded learning programming enrichment classes after school at varying schedules when an expanded learning educator is out of the classroom/absent. The sub shift is from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. This program provides after-school enrichment opportunities for students in grades TK-6th, focusing on art, music, technology, engineering, and creative writing. Students have struggled significantly since the start of the pandemic, and this after-school enrichment seeks to provide students with a safe space to investigate, play, and engage. Expanded learning substitutes will gain experience in an educational setting, expanded learning programs, and with youth aged 4-11. They will also gain experience in student engagement and classroom management practices. This is an ideal role for students and professionals seeking a career in education or public service.
