About The Position

The Nutrition Group (TNG) is a food service management company, founded in 1975, operating in 7 states, and serving clients delicious and healthy meals. This substitute food service worker position is for a local school kitchen/cafeteria, filling in on an as-needed basis to cover employee time off. The person in this role must be willing to learn multiple positions.

Requirements

• Must obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks
• Ability to read recipes and basic math skills required
• A positive and consistent work ethic
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• A willingness to learn and grow within your position

Nice To Haves

• Food service experience preferred
• Computer literacy preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Cooking and food preparation
• Portioning and serving food
• Sanitation in conjunction with USDA and state guidelines
• HAACP and health department regulation compliance
• Assisting to monitor costs and inventory controls
