The Development Services and Integration (DSI) organization has an opportunity for a Sub-Chapter Lead to join their Design Control Excellence team. The Chapter Design Control Excellence (DCE) is part of the global Diagnostics R&D organization and belongs to the Chapter Area Development Services & Integration. The Chapter is structured across various locations in the USA, Switzerland, and Germany, and one of its main responsibilities is to provide support in executing the one global product development process for Roche Diagnostics. As the Sub-Chapter Lead DCE US, you will lead a team across different US sites as the key point of contact within Research and Development (R&D) for providing support to execute and implement the core development processes in development projects. Your team of process experts will support development activities (e.g., risk, requirements, configuration management, etc.) by providing excellent process expertise and their efficient application. The Opportunity Lead the Design Control Excellence US Subchapter and ensure the delivery of process support activities in alignment with stakeholders. You will organize work packages within assigned timelines, budgets, and resources. Manage working relationships and project-related interactions with R&D Networks, and other global and local functions like Quality and Regulatory. Drive efforts to gain efficiency within development projects and identify, communicate, manage, and escalate project issues and risks in a timely manner. As a line manager you will design and optimize team members’ personal professional journeys, coach direct reports, and collaborate closely with your global peers. You will hire and train new staff and ensure state-of-the-art technical know-how. Lead process enhancement activities, including working on diagnostics-wide streamlining of processes and outputs. Lead and integrate organizational change management activities to ensure successful adaptation of new ways of working and application of processes. Play a key role in creating and implementing key aspects of DCE’s strategy and ultimately contribute to the overall success of Roche Diagnostics. Who You Are You hold a Master’s degree in natural or engineering sciences with at least 8 years of industry experience. You have 3–5 years of experience in a diagnostics development environment and a proven track record of successful line management experience. You possess deep experience in Diagnostics product development activities, a thorough understanding of Quality Management Systems, and broad knowledge of R&D and related processes. You have a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset with a good balance between compliance, efficiency, and risk-taking. You have the ability to strategically navigate a changing organization, maintain objectivity, and have respect for differences of opinion, fairness, open communication, and consensus-building skills. Relocation benefits are not available for this position. An additional location of Tucson, Arizona is available. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Pleasanton, California is $158,620 to $294,580. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
