About The Position

An associate performs line assembly operations to produce pre-assembled components that are necessary to complete the seat product for the heavy-duty truck industry by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required. Ability to read a print and to use the print in the production of a finished part. Ability to utilize a process sheet to aid in the production process. Work as a team member in a group setting, such as a work cell (cross training). Identify problems that affect quality and ability to assemble. Ability to train new employees in the assembly process. Follow and adhere to safety rules and regulations, employee handbook to be included (housekeeping, rules, etc).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one - or two - step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
