Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking a Sub-Assembly worker for the 2nd Shift, with hours from 3:30pm-12:00am and an hourly rate of $19.47 plus a $1.00 shift differential. This role involves performing minor assembly processes such as rotor/shaft, pressure plates, and shaft seal assembly according to work orders and lean line operations. Key responsibilities include the creation, production, and attachment of production and R.E.O. nameplates using designated equipment, as well as lock wiring units to customer and print specifications, including re-checking fastener torque. The position also entails visually inspecting and completing final unit pre-shipment operations like installing drive shafts, o-rings, caps, plugs, and tamper seals. Masking off and painting parts and units according to blueprints and customer requirements is also a duty. The Sub-Assembly worker is responsible for completing all required quality and customer information on reports and documents, performing self-inspection, and verifying work on assembly and test documentation. This includes reading and completing various paperwork such as inspection ledgers, check sheets, operation sheets, move tickets, and discrepancy reports to comply with Quality Systems. The role requires notifying supervisors of non-conforming work from previous operators, performing 5S/TPM tasks, and properly using tools and gages to ensure work meets specifications. Additional subassembly operations include installing pins, plugs, inserts, bearings, and miscellaneous components, along with minor sanding, lapping, deburr, or repair work. Compliance with the Manufacturing Self-Release Process (MSRP) and ensuring product quality for the next operation are also critical aspects of this role.
