About The Position

This position provides hair care services to residents at WI-St Francis Home. The role involves cutting, shampooing, and styling hair, as well as providing color and permanent wave services as needed. The stylist is also responsible for performing minor housekeeping tasks, including sweeping the floor and washing and drying towels daily. Other duties include opening and closing the shop, scheduling appointments, answering phones professionally, managing accounts receivable, and potentially assisting with new employee training. The role requires demonstrating strong customer service skills, professionalism, and respect towards coworkers and customers, along with computer data entry.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
• One year hair stylist experience
• Wisconsin Cosmetologist - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (for work location in Wisconsin)

Responsibilities

• Cuts, shampoos, and styles hair for residents.
• Provides color and permanent wave services for residents as needed.
• Performs minor housekeeping tasks, including sweeping floor and washing and drying towels, on a daily basis.
• Opens and closes shop as needed.
• Schedules appointments and answers phone in a professional and courteous manner.
• Responsible for accounts receivable.
• Assists with new employee training.
• Demonstrates customer service skills in accordance with established facility guidelines.
• Demonstrates professionalism and respect at all times to coworkers and customers.
• Computer data entry required.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
