POSITION SUMMARY The Studio Production Manager manages internal and external production projects for their assigned studio to ensure they are satisfactorily completed, while also coaching OFA Film & Media students as they apply what they have learned/are learning to complex production projects. The goal of the Studio Production Manager is to facilitate production project opportunities for Film & Media students with a goal of enhancing job preparation and work placement.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of film production, on-set protocols, processes, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of website design and digital portfolios.
  • Knowledge of the types of jobs available to clients in Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production.
  • High school diploma, equivalent or GED
  • 3 or more years direct experience of film production, processes, and techniques.
  • Experience with instructional strategies and developing natural supports, including state-of-the-art techniques.
  • Must have and maintain valid drivers’ license, acceptable driving record, and ability to travel within and throughout region where services are provided.
  • Must complete and pass background check.
  • This position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. They must be capable of writing, using a computer keyboard, telephone and related office equipment.
  • Ability to lift 15lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the IDD community, program designs, and Title 17 and 22 requirements (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • In coordination with Studio Manager, F&M Instructors and Employment Services, generate and develop internal and external production projects and opportunities for studio.
  • Negotiate Options For All Production Services rates with prospective clients based off current rate schedule.
  • Generate, develop, and manage relationships both within studio and externally to support Film & Media paid internship (PIP) and Adult Work Experience (AWE) opportunities for clients.
  • Manage internal and external production projects ensuring timelines are established, deliverables are determined, contracts executed, and projects are satisfactorily completed.
  • Prior to accepting production assignments, consult with Studio Manager to assess project and production capacity.
  • Research and visit prospective filming locations to assess accessibility and modes of transportation available.
  • Create, complete and maintain organization of all media including a Vimeo account to share projects.
  • Ensure delivery and archive of client deliverables, including completion and maintenance of programmatic forms, files, and all other paperwork as required both internally and externally.
  • Maintain and oversee inventory of studio equipment for production including: camera and lighting gear, audio equipment, computers, etc.
  • Work with Options For All’s main accounts receivable department to provide invoicing to clientele.
  • Prepare and operate within annual budget, meeting or exceeding budget goals.
  • Teach Job Readiness courses as part of the film & media program curriculum; provided to all students with a phased approach (newer students focused on identifying interests & establishing goals while advanced students focus on resumes, reels & interviewing); schedule may include 2, 3 or 4 sessions per week depending on size of program.
  • Coach and/or assist students on how to complete a digital portfolio of their film & media work/projects as well as create and manage their own website(s) and social media accounts.
  • Diffuse crisis situations and provide crisis intervention, as necessary.
  • Support fundraising and outreach efforts for both the Film & Media program and the organization.
  • Supervise production crews and students during film shoots.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
