ABC News is seeking a Studio Director (Mosart automation pilot) for a 12-month contract to plan and direct news content across a range of News productions and programs in our very busy Melbourne studio. Under limited direction and reporting to the News Operations Studio Team Lead, you will: Set-up and operate automated studio facilities to a consistently high standard ensuring seamless continuity of program output. Brief and direct presenters and production staff to meet the creative vision and ensure the smooth running of the program. An excellent understanding of contemporary News and Current Affairs production techniques and curiosity to learn and adapt to new technologies. Manage and maintain studio equipment to meet production requirements, assess faults and follow current reporting procedures. Collaborate with producers, journalists, and craft specialists to create high quality video content Enhance production quality and efficiency by regularly contributing to new program ideas and production techniques, collaborating across the news team. You have a naturally flexible workstyle and an enthusiasm for working in a news and current affairs environment with advanced skills as a Studio Director (Mosart automation pilot). You are great with people and have an ability to build relationships and rapport with your team and external talent and suppliers. You thrive in a high pressure in a live-to-air environment with tight deadlines.
