About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the part-time Studio Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of a dynamic graduate studio program. This role provides hands-on support across studio, administrative, and design-related functions, and is well-suited for a dependable, adaptable individual who is comfortable balancing creative work with practical, behind-the-scenes tasks. The Studio Assistant works closely with students, faculty, the Director of Operations, and the Department Chair. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work proactively and independently are essential to this position. The innovative MFA Illustration as Visual Essay (MFAI) department, established in 1984, is deliberately designed as a full contact program for figurative artists.
