About The Position
The position is designed to assist students of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Spurgeon College in developing success-oriented writing skills. The role involves creating an inviting environment for students to grow in their writing capabilities and assisting them at any stage of the writing process through both on-campus and online conferences. Responsibilities include answering writing-related questions, helping students learn and practice writing strategies, connecting them to the Midwestern style guide, directing them to outside resources, and coaching them through critiquing to strengthen their work in various areas such as ideas, structure, and flow. Additionally, the position requires maintaining detailed records of each student conference, assisting with writing workshops and special events, and following the Writer's Studio philosophy and process.
