About The Position

Position Title: STUDENT WORKER Responsible To: Program Director Basic Function: Perform general light duties as assigned as a part of his/her high school program.

Requirements

• Knowledge of: General cleaning methods and materials.
• Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
• Basic record-keeping techniques.
• Health and safety regulations.
• Ability to: Communicate and maintain effective relationships with others.
• Print and write legibly.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Learn and apply safety procedures and regulations.
• Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated progress toward obtaining a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the diagnosis and repair of district vehicular equipment.
• Assist Mechanic in maintenance of a current inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assist Mechanic in establishing an efficient and effective system of routine maintenance and repair.
• Assist Mechanic in maintaining a record of all maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain high standards of safety and good housekeeping methods in all work connected areas.
• Complie with Federal, state and local laws and regulations for the maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment and machines (OSHA).
• Report all conditions that present safety hazards immediately to Program Director.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
