About The Position

The Department of Mathematics is seeking student workers (tutors) to work in the Mathematics Assistance Center (MAC). This position is classified as a Student Worker for the academic year 2025-2026, with a starting pay rate of $10.00 per hour. The hours and days worked are flexible and will be determined based on the needs of the department and the availability of the student worker.

Requirements

• Mathematics Major (Good Standing)
• Interactive/Personal Skills
• Recommendation of Math Faculty
• Completion of MATH 211 (Calculus 2)
• Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints).

Responsibilities

• 1-on-1 and small group tutoring in MAC.
• Communication with MAC coordinator regarding department and student needs.
