About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe is seeking a dependable and organized student to support summer conference operations and guests.

Requirements

• Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno
• Candidate must be available for training from May 16th to May 21st
• Candidate must live in housing at the University of Nevada at Lake Tahoe for the duration of the summer (May 15th to August 16th)
• Candidate must not take more than one class during each summer session and may not take mini-session classes due to the training schedule
• Enrollment in the University of Nevada, Reno will be confirmed before hire
• 20-30 hours
• Additional 10-20 paid hours per week depending on conference scheduling

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and act as the point of reference for guest who need assistance or information at summer conferences and orientations
• Assist in preparing residence hall accommodations for conference arrivals & departures with typical duties including delivering linen packets, blankets and pillows, key preparation and auditing, on-duty rotation, and other duties needed to carry out conference operations
• Assist with providing security for all guests and residents
• Must be available to reside on-site with all conferences that reserve summer housing on campus
• Responsible for checking guests into their room, posting signs, filling out incident reports, and roster verification checks
• Rotate between different front desk locations on the University of Nevada at Lake Tahoe campus
• Have “on-call for duty” responsibilities and must carry duty phone at all times on scheduled days
