About The Position

Under the direct, personal supervision of a registered radiologic technologist, sonographer, or nuclear medicine technologist, the student worker assists in the performance of high quality radiographic, sonographic, or nuclear medicine exams. Individual shift rotation and schedules will be established with your specific Supervisor or Manager. Schedules, including requirements of shift rotations and hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet department requirements and/or as needed. Weekday evening and all weekend shifts may be required. Age Specific groups served: All

Requirements

• CPR-BLS
• Enrollment in accredited School of Radiation Sciences, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine Program.
• Current student in an accredited School of Radiation Sciences.

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinical work experience in an acute care/trauma setting.
• One year of clinical experience in accredited School of Radiation Sciences, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine Program.in an academic

Responsibilities

• Assists in the performance of high quality radiographic, sonographic, or nuclear medicine exams under supervision.
• Provides patient care and emotional support.
• Problem solving in accordance with hospital and radiology policy/procedure.
• Initiates request for patient transportation.
• Directs patients to imaging rooms.
• Stocks and/or obtains supplies as directed.
