The Drive Unit Inverter Product Design team is responsible for the design, prototyping, testing, and validation of a new generation of in-house power electronics to support Ford's next generation of electric vehicle drive systems. As a Mechanical Design Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for designing / executing tests, building prototype parts and tools, and working closely with your peers to help bring this new platform to life. Responsibilities

  • Design and execute tests such as designs of experiments for processes and durability tests for design validation.
  • Prototype new concepts and system architectures for next-generation drive unit inverters.
  • Operate as a member of the core engineering team with the responsibility of executing projects that are critical to the success of this program.
  • Execute complex projects from start to finish while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • You will have access to experts in all domains related to electric propulsion and power electronics.
  • You will have access to leading engineering tools and resources to design, prototype, and test hardware.
