The Battery Pack Associate Engineer will support the design, development, testing, and implementation of lithium-ion battery systems for our electric vehicles. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge battery technology within the automotive industry, working alongside experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated foundational knowledge in battery technology, thermodynamics, or mechanical design through coursework or academic projects.
  • Strong interest in electric vehicles and battery systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of CAD software (e.g., 3DX, CATIA, SolidWorks).
  • Experience with academic projects related to battery design, testing, or electric vehicle components.
  • Familiarity with adhesives and thermal interface materials concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An eagerness to learn and contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and design of lithium-ion battery systems, learning to utilize tools such as 3DX.
  • Support cross-functional teams to ensure battery systems meet performance, safety, and cost requirements, as well as seamless integration with the overall vehicle platform.
  • Help create test plans and support the execution and analysis of battery system tests to identify and assist in resolving any issues.
  • Learn to collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the quality of battery components.
  • Support the creation of boundary diagrams and device transmittals.
  • Assist in coordinating CAE simulations for both mechanical and thermal systems.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to battery system designs and testing results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest battery technology and industry trends, contributing to our electric vehicles remaining competitive.
