About The Position

The Student Worker in the Library department will support daily operations and contribute to the growth and enhancement of library services. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, performing circulation desk functions, assisting library users, and maintaining collections. The position requires collaboration with library staff and a commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for all patrons.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student.
• Must maintain above a 2.0 GPA.
• Customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Performs circulation desk functions such as answering patron questions via phone, email, and in-person.
• Manages borrowed materials and room reservations.
• Collects library usage statistics.
• Assists library users in locating materials using the automated catalog.
• Performs collections maintenance such as shelving and shifting books.
• Supports events and fosters student engagement.
• Assists in continuous improvement of library operations.
• Works closely with library staff, IT, and Student Experience staff members.
