About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe is recruiting for a student worker within the Facilities Maintenance Services department. Note: This position is subject to a pre-employment, post-accident and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol test. The candidate selected for hire will be required to sign a form acknowledging this policy.

Requirements

• Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe
• Candidate must be able to work through winter and summer breaks
• Candidate must be dependable, reliable, thorough, self-motivated, and detail oriented
• Candidate must be able to work as a member of a team and individually and follow instructions

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms and restrooms
• Disinfect and wipe down various surfaces
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles
• Operate snow removal equipment, including snow blowers, shovels, and plows
• Perform light painting and touch-ups
• Complete minor maintenance tasks such as toilet repairs, unclogging sinks and toilets, and fixing door hardware or keys
• Assist with event setup and breakdown
• Perform other duties as assigned

Benefits

• Compensation Grade Student Employee Level 1 $14.00/ hr.
