We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Student Worker to join our team at Za'atar at The Castle. This role is perfect for a student interested in gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced food service environment. The Student Worker will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Za'atar at the Castle serves Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with Halal, vegetarian, and vegan options. We offer a plant-forward menu of salads, wraps, and bowls in a thoughtfully designed, mindful eating space with flavors that inspire.

  • Greet and assist customers with a friendly and positive attitude. Take and fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including assembling dishes and ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Help with stocking inventory, managing a clean and organized work area, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the dining and serving areas, including tables, counters, and equipment.
  • Work effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for all customers.
  • Must be a currently enrolled student.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Previous food service experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Hourly Rate: $16
  • Block 25 meal plan.
  • First year students receive $200 dining dollars instead of meal plan.
