About The Position

The Student Worker in the Computer Lab will support the daily operations of the computer labs at Hill College. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, performing service desk functions, and assisting lab users with basic technology and Microsoft Office application questions. The position requires a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for all patrons, ensuring effective operations, and promoting programs and services to peers.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a full-time Hill College student.
• Must maintain above a 2.0 GPA.
• Customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the computer labs.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Perform computer lab service desk functions such as answering patron questions via phone, email, and in-person.
• Manage borrowed materials and collect lab usage statistics.
• Assist computer lab users with basic Microsoft Office application questions and general technology troubleshooting.
• Assist with the implementation of lab initiatives and provide input on student needs.
• Help promote programs and services to peers.
• Work closely with Learning Innovation staff and lab visitors to ensure effective operations and a positive patron experience.
