The Student Worker Chemistry Lab Assistant position is designed for LIU students enrolled in an active degree program. Requirements

• LIU student enrolled in an active degree program.
• Develop specialized skills in the proper preparation of chemicals and other lab instruments.
• Use of appropriate PPE and lab safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Preparation, set up, and clean up of chemicals, equipment, and glassware for use in lab classes.
• Management of the collection and storage of chemical waste generated during lab classes.
• Preparation of unknown samples for student analysis.
• Assisting lab instructor and lab students during lab classes.
