About The Position

The Campus Ministry department is seeking a dependable student worker for the Sundays @ 9 Coordinator position to oversee and facilitate all aspects of the student lead worship service. Working closely with the worship team, Campus Ministries staff, and other stakeholders to plan and execute meaningful worship experiences that align with the spiritual needs and values of the community. Responsibilities typically include scheduling worship leaders, musicians, and technical support staff, coordinating the selection of music and liturgy, and ensuring the smooth flow of worship service. Additionally, coordinators may provide leadership in incorporating diverse worship styles creative elements to enhance the worship experience. This role will help manage budgeting, social media promotions, and ongoing development with CM staff.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled as a student at Friends University
• Required availability is from 8 pm - 10:30 pm on Sunday nights for worship service
• Ability to manage logistics, schedules, and resources efficiently to ensure smooth operations
• Clear and effective communication skills to interact with teammates, musicians, and attendees
• Keen attention to detail to ensure that all aspects of worship, including setup, audiovisual equipment, and materials, are properly prepared and executed
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively with other coordinators, volunteers, and staff members to achieve common goals
• Adaptability to handle unexpected situations or last-minute changes during with grace and composure
• Ability to interact warmly and respectfully with diverse individuals and demonstrate empathy and compassion towards others
• Dependability and punctuality to fulfill assigned responsibilities and commitments consistently
• Alignment with the values and mission of Friends University and Campus Ministries, demonstrating a genuine desire to contribute positively to the spiritual community

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with audiovisual equipment, sound systems, and other technical tools commonly used in chapel/worship settings may be beneficial
