Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Support students in developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative skills. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Track student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians. Use educational tools, technology, and platforms to enhance learning. Collaborate with other educators and staff to align with curriculum standards. Encourage curiosity, innovation, and teamwork through project-based learning General Responsibilities: Communicate with Transformation Waco’s Outreach Coordinator regarding specific Program operations/needs. Ensure upkeep of STEAM program property and equipment. Maintain a working knowledge of how to utilize all relevant STEAM property and equipment. Work closely with Transformation Waco’s Outreach Coordinator to retain organized and accurate records and assist in record maintenance as instructed. Attend required meetings, trainings and other events as instructed within work hours. Coordinate with Transformation Waco’s Outreach Coordinator to ensure STEAM program’s quality and standards are maintained. Implement safety and discipline guidelines. Maintain a working knowledge of the program’s policies and procedures Maintain frequent and open communication with Transformation Waco’s Outreach Coordinator regarding any program events, meetings, or other changes. Perform other tutoring-related duties as assigned. Preferred qualifications and experience: Experience working with children 1st through 5th grade strongly preferred. Experience working with at-risk children is a plus but not required. All applicants must be Federal Work Study (FWS) Eligible.
