About The Position

The Student Worker - Transformation Waco AfterSchool Club Lead STEAM Tutor position involves providing individualized or small group instruction in STEAM subjects. The tutor will develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities, supporting students in developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative skills. The role requires fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, tracking student progress, and providing feedback to students and parents/guardians. The tutor will also use educational tools, technology, and platforms to enhance learning and collaborate with other educators and staff to align with curriculum standards. Encouraging curiosity, innovation, and teamwork through project-based learning is essential. General responsibilities include communicating with Transformation Waco's Outreach Coordinator regarding specific program operations/needs, ensuring upkeep of STEAM program property and equipment, maintaining organized and accurate records, and attending required meetings and training events.

Requirements

• Must be Federal Work Study (FWS) Eligible.
• Ability to comply with University policies.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized or small group instruction in STEAM subjects.
