Requirements

Previous customer service experience and phone experience
Strong typing and computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as database applications
Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift up to 20lbs
MUST BE A CURRENT HCC STUDENT FOR SPRING 2026 SEMESTER.
MUST BE ENROLLED IN AT LEAST 6 CREDITS.
UNLESS FIRST-SEMESTER STUDENT, MUST HAVE ATTAINED A 2.0 SEMESTER GPA DURING THE LAST SEMESTER ATTENDED.

Responsibilities

Providing exceptional customer service to our students, staff, and other visitors - serve as a welcoming, positive presence, and treat all students with courtesy and respect
Phone support - answer incoming calls, return voice mail messages, and make calls to students
Front counter support - help students in person at the Admissions front counter and occasionally in the lobby. Assist with general questions.
Assisting students with navigating the HCC website, Self-Service, and general college questions
Data entry of applications into student database
Scanning student paperwork
Be a campus tour guide to small and large group tours
Assisting with mailings and putting together information packets
Completing on-campus errands and providing assistance to office employees
Be available and present to welcome and help onboard new HCC students at new student orientations
